We all love the different entertaining electronics we own, especially our computers and our favorite video game consoles, but for some odd reason, they are still just not cool enough for a few individuals, so they end up creating some crazy mods.
It seems that as good looking as the PS3 is, as cool as the Xbox 360 is made and as customized as a PC Case could be, it is not sufficient for some. In turn, these modders end up building various PS3 Mods, Xbox 360 consoles, Nintendo and PC case mods and many more variations that may seem a little crazy at first, but end up being true masterpieces.
The bottom line is, being a gamer is not just for playing PC or video games anymore, and to prove so, we have gathered an awesome collection of the absolutely 32 Best Mods that we saw in 2009 which include examples using the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo, PC and Macs.

Top PS3 Mods1. Steampunk PS3
This beautiful Steampunk PS3 Mod was made without taking it apart and thus voiding the warranty. All attachments were added with a vintage style that include an old radio valve, a pipe valve, a pressure gauge, assorted brass plumbing parts and some trim. The wood veneer was then aged with a few coats of varnish to give it the final touch.
In the end, the result is just phenomenal!
2. Alien Playstation 3
A scary and heavy looking Alien PS3 was created with a mass amount of epoxy and a great tribute to Giger and the Alien monster that kept us up so many years ago. The thing is, the end result of this one would be great for adults, but little kids would be afraid of picking up a controller after seeing this freaky console.
Still, you know it is something that you would easily display in your entertainment center…freaky or not!
3. PS3 Slim Laptop
Ben Heck has revisited his old video game console laptops and created a new and improved PS3 Slim Laptop, which is much lighter than before and has some better specs. This could also be seen as a wonderful way to view a home console and adapt it to the mobile world we live in today. It simply could be the best solution for die hard Playstation 3 fans to take their console on the road and have a screen and portable battery right along to play whenever they wish.

Prosthetics have been used to replace lost limbs since there have been limbs to be lost; during this time, peg legs and crutches have transformed into power suits and robot arms. The prosthetic limb was once a static, inflexible mockery of what it was replacing. Today, incredible technology has gone into the science of prosthetics, making them elegant examples of technology and design that are awe inspiring. We are much closer to Science Fiction than you probably think. Your jaw will drop as you take a journey through the past, present, and future of prosthetic technology.
Prosthetic toes made of wood were recently found on an Egyptian mummy (pictured above), and such ingenuity continues to be required in less technologically advanced areas of the world. Where a prosthetic limb was once carved out of wood, they can now be fashioned out of an old basketball and some sturdy paddles.
No longer just an instrument to help the disabled recover functionality, some additions provide superior strength and stamina to the most fit individuals. An external suit can take the pressure off your limbs while carrying heavy bags, or help remove the stress of repetitive actions. No matter how they’re used, lurching power suits are incredibly appealing, as they dance close to the dream of bionic humans so often found in literature, film, and television.
Animals get hurt too, and people are always coming up with innovative ways to maintain quality of life for their furry friends. A broken leg used to be a death sentence for a horse, but now even a lost limb can be taken care of.
Arguably the most difficult limb to replace is the arm, and by extension (literally), the hand. With an intricate weave of tendons and musculature allowing the most minute movements, early attempts to add functionality involved attaching a hook or wooden arm with the inability to move. From the revolutionary clasping motion, to the most modern neurally controlled arm in existence, the DEKA, prosthetics are progressing in sophistication at an incredible rate.
People who lost legs once had to resign themselves to lives spent hobbling with crutches; this is no longer the case. The advancement of material strength and flexibility, and the departure from feet that look like feet, allow the disabled to run with incredible speed – so much so, that the paralympic games are investigating whether modern prosthetic legs provide an unfair advantage.

Seeing double, sadly no. In fact, according to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the biggest man-made threat to polar bear survival is climate change. If current warming trends continue unabated, then polar bears could soon be found only in zoos.

Well, we would not be delving too much into the way it looks, for obvious reasons. Heck, this is one stunning creation. It is made out of aluminum and wood and is a clear complement to the Guitar Hero designs that we have come across in recent times. Krator Orpheus WG-07 is completely wireless and compatible with the Rock Band software as well (in addition to Guitar Hero). Krator, though has gone one step further, making it work with MTV games too.
If you have grown up listening to metal, now is the time to show your true love for the genre. This toughie here is a great addition to your instrument collection too, if thats a hobby. You wouldnt find stuff like these too often. It offers a range of 10 meters, and works with PCs and PS3 gaming systems. The finish is immaculately slick, while the design leaves us drooling. It is an amazing costume which looks like you are Optimus Prime one minute and when you crouch down, it becomes the famous truck! It is just like Transformers truly are, transforming from one shape to another.
The robots in the Transformers show could transform into vehicles, electronic items and even humanoid figures, while retaining their robotic qualities. Likewise, this costume brings alive the 70s TV Show to the modern era and it does a great job at that! The way the man who is wearing the costume suddenly starts looking like Optimus Prime is an amazing thing to watch and I truly admire it.
