The Business Of Re-potting Plants
Sunday, February 21st, 2010 | Uncategorized | Comments Off
Im not so updated with the green business, but Im sure folks who have an active green thumb understand the nuances of “Re-potting a Plant” and the burden that comes with proper transfer of plants from one pot to the other. Re-flowerpot looks at doing away with the heartbreak of losing a sapling due to its incorrect transfer. The pot simply breaks-up into two parts, kinda like a mold for your soil and plant. Happy Re-potting to you!

Eventually, we’ll be squeezing renewable energy out of every possible source we can – especially from rooftops in urban areas. Adobe Systems is at the forefront of this trend, having just installed building integrated wind turbines atop its headquarters in downtown San Jose, CA. Their 20 new Windspirevertical axis turbines are affixed on the 6th floor of the parking garage of their office complex, which also happens to be LEED certified. The electricity generated from the turbines will eventually power an electric vehicle charging station in the garage below as well as the famous San Jose Semaphore!

ASUS NX90Jq Laptop: The Sexiest Model Of The Year
Sunday, February 21st, 2010 | Uncategorized | Comments Off

With so many models and makes of laptops and notebooks releasing each single day, this years sexiest crown goes to Asus NX90Jq, which is no doubt in real sense the sexiest of all.
The NX90Jq is the joint venture of Asus and Bang & Olufsena technology design company. This latest release from the house of Asus is sported with polished aluminum and powered by a Core i7 processor. This most attractive and sexiest laptop is further equipped with GeForce 334M, supports up to a hard disk dual drive capacity of 1280GB, USB 3.0 interface and Blu-ray ODD.

The dual and gigantic touchpads placed one on each side is made of matte plastic. Although it looks a bit awkward, but is actually very comfortable and sensitive too. The keyboard seems to be very comfortable with properly placed keys. The ICE power speakers appear to be pretty decent and hopefully it works the same even at full volume.

With LED backlit screen of 1080p and pretty much impressive look, you can never hold back to see this 18.4 inch notebook in action. Priced at $2500, there is still no news of its availability yet. Some of the other previous releases in the field of laptops are the Rolltop and Nokia’s Booklet 3G.

Hitchhikers Guide to the Classroom
Sunday, February 21st, 2010 | Uncategorized | Comments Off
Have you seen, heard of, or otherwise experienced the “Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy?” Well this is basically it embodied in a fantastic school-desk body. Dubbed “Mesa – Classroom of 2015″ by its designer Phelan Miller, this concept is one our children will be wondering how we ever did without. Oh my goodness mother, you didn’t have the internet when you were a kid in school? How did you learn about things?
Oh my goodness mother, you didn’t have Mesa desks when you were a kid in school?
How did you learn how to spell?
Middle schoolers the world over will be tapping their way to intelligence when these fantastic items come into play. The Mesa desk comes standard with grammar check, spell check, dictionary, encyclopedia, thesaurus, and a section for math. Employed by an effective and simple touch screen with tab system, including “freewrite” ability for improving handwriting.
It even interacts with real paper, scanning it and checking it for error in a moment’s time.
Mesa desks are double wide, made for two students at a time. Tall enough to be stood by, short enough to still be realistically accessed by a person sitting in a chair.
Light and stackable.
MILLER if you make these in a way that allows schools to attain them inexpensively, I don’t see why you won’t have created an overnight sensation, changing the way the world teaches and learns.
